- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I have used Commerce as my primary bank for over 25 years - both personally and for my business. I've always had secondary banks too. Compared to others Commerce has been head and shoulder above. Has the service always been prefect - No! But compared to the other banks over an extended period of time it has been far superior. Most impressive has been how they respond to suggestions and criticism. They always take the time to listen. Sometimes they embrace the fact they need to change. Other times I get wiser about why Commerce can't provide my perfect solution. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Why isn't zero stars an option? If any company in the world deserves it these fools do. Excessively long hold times for deposits, huge fees simply for being a customer, the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with, a website that is archaic and difficult to navigate, and YOU CANNOT MAKE A ONE-TIME CREDIT CARD PAYMENT ON THEIR WEBSITE. They do this so you have to use their autopay option so you can't pay early and they can collect additional interest from you. Of course they do all this so they can keep their CEO, David Kemper, in Bentleys and Armani suits. They are a huge behemoth that requires a constant influx of fees, interest, and charges to feed itself and keep growing. To Commerce Bank, the only reason human beings exist is to hand their hard-earned money over them. Commerce does not care about you. Commerce is staffed ENTIRELY by incompetent buffoons.
